Prayers for the Church
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray this prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind, rebuke and bring to no effect; all division, discord, disunity, strife, wrath, murder, criticism, condemnation, pride, envy, jealously, gossip, slander, evil speaking, complaining, lying, false teaching, false gifts, false manifestations, lying signs and wonders, poverty, fear of lack, fear of spirits, deceiving spirits, religious spirits, hindering spirits, retaliatory spirits, occult spirits, witchcraft spirits (including Jezebel, Delilah, and Apollyon the Destroyer), spirits of antichrist and all familiar, territorial spirits, the spirit of Death and the spirit of Flesh.
I bind all curses that have been spoken against me. I bless those who curse me, and pray blessings on those who despitefully use me. I bind all spoken judgments made against me, and judgments I have made against others. I bind the power of negative words from others, and I bind and render useless all prayers not inspired by the Holy Spirit; whether psychic, soul force, witchcraft, or counterfeit tongues that have been prayed against me.
I am God’s child. I resist the devil. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I put on the whole armor of God. I take authority over this day, in Jesus name. Let it be prosperous for me, and let me walk in your love, Lord.
The Holy Spirit leads and guides me today and fills me with all needed gifting and graces. I discern between the righteous and the wicked. I take authority over Satan and all his demons, and those people who are influenced by them. I declare Satan is under my feet and shall remain there all day.
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am God’s property. Satan, you are bound from my family, my mind, my body, my home, and my finances. I confess that I am healed and whole. I flourish, am long lived, stable, durable, incorruptible, fruitful, virtuous, full of peace, patience and love. Whatsoever I set my hands to do shall prosper for God supplies all my needs. I have all authority over Satan, all demons, and beasts of the field.
God, I pray for the ministry You have for me. Anoint me God for all you have called me to do for You. I call forth divine appointments, open doors of opportunity; God ordained encounters and ministry positions.
I claim a hedge of protection, by the Precious Blood of Jesus, around myself, spouse and children (names), throughout this day and night. I ask You God, in the name of Jesus, to dispatch angels to surround me, my spouse, my children, parents, extended family, Leadership Team, Staff, and church, today and every day, and to put them throughout my house and around our cars, souls and bodies. I call on your holy angels to protect my house from any intrusion and to protect me and my family from any harmful demonic or other physical or mental attacks. I ask all of this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
House Blessing Prayer
How to Pray Over Your House for Spiritual Cleansing & Blessing
- Remove any items that represent or invite evil into the house and get rid of them:
– Horror movies and novels
– Dark or evil music: black metal, that which glorifies sexual immorality/drug use, etc.
– Spiritual/evil games: Ouija boards, tarot cards, crystal balls, palm reading, psychic/new age, etc. (anything that has to do with the spiritual that is not Christian)
– Religious/spiritual items from anything that are not Christian: idols (carved religious figurines from other cultures), voodoo dolls, Buddha statues/figurines, dream catchers, etc.
- Pray the following prayer (or something similar in your own words) of cleansing, consecration, blessing, and protection OUT LOUD while standing somewhere in the home (perhaps the front porch, main door, or main living room):
Father God, I come before you knowing that the blood of Jesus presents me righteous before You. Thank you for the salvation, victory, and authority over evil that is mine in Jesus Christ! It is in the name of my Savior Jesus Christ I ask for your cleansing, blessing, and protection over this household. Thank you, Lord!
By the blood of Jesus Christ, I bind every evil and unclean spirit that is in this house and command them to flee right now in the name of Jesus Christ. I renounce and reject any inch of this house and property that has been yielded or surrendered unto Satan and by faith I take it back and surrender it to the Lord Jesus Christ.
I renounce and repent of any sins, known or unknown to me, that have been committed here by anyone (including me or my family). I renounce and repent of any sinful items ever kept here, I renounce and repent of any sinful things that were broadcast here in Jesus name. Forgive any trespasses committed against you in this place, Lord.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I dedicate and consecrate this house to my Lord Jesus Christ and claim it is under His divine protection from the top of the roof to the bottom of the footing and everything in between.
Father, I ask in the name of Jesus Christ that you would surround this house and the property on which it stands with a hedge of protection. Surround our family and this property with your favor as with a shield on all sides, above, and below.
Father God, I ask that You send your powerful warrior angels to protect the Four Corners of this house and property, guarding everyone who lives within.
I ask that this house be consecrated with Your divine presence so that everyone who enters will be blessed in their heart, soul, and mind. May your love, joy, and peace be palpable in this place by the power of your Holy Spirit. May this be a place of rest and restoration. Thank you, Father, for the complete victory I already have in Jesus Christ. Let your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth and in this home as it is in heaven. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! Amen.
- Walk through every single room (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, entryway, basement, attic, etc.), standing in the center of each, and pray the following short prayer OUT LOUD:
In the name of Jesus Christ I cast out any unclean spirit form this room and forbid them from ever entering again. Father, I ask you to bless this room with your presence and that it would be a place of rest, joy, and peace. Amen!
- Go to every door and window in every room in the home and pray this short prayer OUT LOUD (as an optional act of faith, anoint each doorframe and window with olive oil, representing Jesus’ blood, blessing, favor, and protection):
In the name of Jesus Christ I forbid any unclean or evil spirits or forces from entering this home. Father, send your angels to stand guard here. Amen!
- Go to the end of your driveway (the entrance to your property) and pray this short prayer OUT LOUD:
In the name of Jesus I command any unclean or evil spirits to flee this property and forbid them from entering again. Father send your angels to stand guard here! Thank you for your protection and love! Amen.

He also makes available several other prayers on his website that are helpful.
Colossians 1:3-4, 9-12; 4:12
We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people —
We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
[We are] always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Ephesians 1:16-21; 3:16-20
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Time to Pray
I got up early one morning
And rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
And heavier came each task;
‘Why doesn’t God help me?’ I wondered.
He answered, ‘You didn’t ask.’
I wanted to see joy and beauty
But the day toiled on gray and bleak
I wondered why God didn’t show me
He said, ‘But you didn’t seek’,
I tried to come into God’s presence;
I used all my keys in the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided,
‘My child, you didn’t knock.’
I woke up early this morning,
And paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray.”
